Fair Trade Development in Sierra Leone
October / November 2007
Waldorf School, linking with the Goderich Waldorf School, Freetown
A positive outcome from the UKOWLA conference, hosted by Hull City Council,
is a link between the Waldorf School in Ringwood, Hampshire, UK,
and the Goderich Waldorf School.
The objective is to create a cloth printing and tailoring unit in the school
and to create a market for the products in the UK.
Elaine Holt, class 2 teacher in Ringwood, has travelled to Sierra Leone
and brought back a large number of samples of cloth.
We have 26 samples in Hull for evaluation and to form the basis of our planning and development.
